Camping | Strynsvatn Camping offers an idyllic base by beautiful Lake Strynsvatnet, with a variety of accommodation, great facilities and spectacular nature experiences all year round.
Strynsvatn Camping is part of the PlusCamp chain and is classified as a four-star campsite by NHO Reiseliv. The campsite is affiliated with ASCI, ANWB and ADAC.
Strynsvatn Camping offers 35 rental cabins, two summer houses, a mountain lodge, five holiday apartments and approximately 40 pitches for motorhomes, caravans and tents. On-site activities include boat and canoe rental, volleyball, a swimming area, a waterfront barbecue area, a playground and three trampolines. There is also a marked hiking trail leading to a mountain pasture, the mountains and the glacier.
Strynsvatn Camping is beautifully situated with stunning views of Lake Strynsvatnet and is an ideal base for exploring the area. Stryn town centre is nearby, with shops, cosy pubs, restaurants, a cinema, an indoor swimming pool and more.
Popular attractions such as Briksdal Glacier, Kjenndal Glacier, the National Park Centre, Loen Skylift to Mount Hoven, Via Ferrata Loen, Stryn Summer Ski Centre, Hydlaparken, Geiranger and Vestkapp are just some of the experiences within reach. Stryn is also a paradise for mountain hikers, with many marked trails leading to peaks such as Mount Skåla, Storskredfjellet and Kyrkjenibba.
Mountain bikers and climbers can also find plenty of opportunities in the surrounding area.
Strynsvatn Camping is open all year round, while the reception building with its shop and café is open during the summer season. The staff are available to assist with check-in and check-out, and to provide tips on attractions and excursions suited to your travel companions.
There is also a street food stand open during the high season, serving kebabs, hamburgers with fries and hot dogs.
