Please note that there is no road access all the way up to Nilsstova, which adds an extra dose of adventure upon your arrival. Nilsstova features a main bedroom with a double bed and a cozy loft with a ladder leading up to the second bedroom. Please be aware that you cannot stand upright in the loft.
This small cabin is perfect for families or groups looking to create shared memories together. Here, you can relax after a day of activities and enjoy the warm atmosphere.
For those wishing to take a dip or simply unwind, we have a sauna with a view of the fjord that can be booked. Nothing beats the feeling of sitting in the sauna after a long day outdoors, with the beautiful fjord right outside. We also offer boat rentals for adventurous guests. Explore the hidden gems of the fjord, go fishing, or simply enjoy a peaceful day on the water.
As an added bonus, we have two SUP boards available for free rental, perfect for exploring the fjord from the water. Nilsstova is located only about 4 km from Sandane town center, where you will find an electric vehicle charging station for convenient charging during your stay.
In Gloppen municipality, there are many great activity opportunities and hiking trails. We recommend Trivselsskogen for children and adults of all ages. The forest is located just above Sandane town center and is a great starting point for your first outing in Gloppen. For hiking, we suggest Ryssdalshornet, Eggenipa, and Haugsvarden, which offer impressive views and varied trails. Haugsvarden is also perfect for mountain biking. Additionally, the area is ideal for fishing and outdoor life, with many good fishing spots and hiking trails. Be sure to check out Traudalen and Langedalen, located on the south side of Gloppefjorden.
Gloppen municipality is known for its local food producers, offering everything from meat and eggs to cheese, fruit, and berries. Many producers have small self-service outlets on their farms, where you can buy fresh, local products. We also recommend a visit to BakarJon in Byrkjelo, where you will find more than 100 local food producers supplying products to the store.
