The area is rich in nature experiences and Fanøy has a network of hiking trails well suited for discovering the uninhabited parts of the island. For those who like to go on mountain trips, we have several suitable mountains in the archipelago, which are easy to get to by rental boat or shuttle boat. Store Batalden is perhaps the most famous of the hiking destinations in the area, but you also have, for example, Blåkollen and Lille Batalden.
How to get here:
The closest town and hub for public transport to Fanøy is Florø. There are several ways to get from Florø to Fanøy, be it by ferry, taxi boat or your own boat.
If you are coming from afar, you can get to Florø by plane, car, bus or boat.
If you travel by your own boat, there is a guest pier in Søre Fanøyvåg, not far from where you arrive by ferry.
From the ferry terminal (Fugleskjærskaia) at Florø Harbour, there are several daily departures to Fanøy. Information about routes and timetables on the ferry can be found on the website of the ferry company: www.fjord1.no Please note that on some of the departures (especially on the return departure on Wednesdays) you must book tickets in advance.
