Accommodation | Gryta camping has a breathtaking location by lake Oldevatnet in Oldedalen. You are surrounded by glaciers, high mountains and beautiful nature. This is a nice place to relax and enjoy your holiday.

The campground is a good starting point for activities near by. The world famous Briksdal glacier is only 10 minutes from the campground, and Loen Skylift only a 20 minutes drive from us. The campground is a good starting point for activities near by. The world famous Briksdal glacier is only 10 minutes from the campground, and Loen Skylift only a 20 minutes drive from us. Gryta camping is the starting point for the walk to Storesteinen in Gytridalen, with viev to the waterfall Gytrifossen. It is also a great starting point to other hikes in the area, and you can get hiking maps in the reseption. Also, a slow stroll by the lake, fishing by the river and taking the boat out on the lake is very nice. We have free boat for all our guests, and safety jackets can be borrowed in the reseption. Fishing card is for sale.

Gryta is a large campground, and our guests get to choose their own spot. If you are travelling with a group, please contact us for booking.

We have five cabins renovated in 2021 with wonderful viev and charming traditional grass on the rood. The cabins are solid and with good standards. Two of the cabins has their own toilet and shower, and tree of them has acsess to the facilities in the sanitary building.

Gryta camping was original a farm with goats, so the goats has their naturale place here at the campground. The goats are very social, some say they even speak all kind of languages. They sure will be happy if you drop by for a small chat.
