The cabins are located just 3–5 metres from the shore of the beautiful Nordfjord. Here, you can fish in the fjord or enjoy a peaceful trip by rowboat. Both cabins have their own rowboat. The surrounding area offers excellent opportunities for hiking in the mountains and forests.
Fransøyra Cabins are located about 400 metres west of Utvik town centre, where you will find a grocery store, café, art exhibitions and local handicrafts. Utvik Church is also located in the centre and is open during the daytime in summer.
In winter, Utvikfjellet offers excellent opportunities for skiing. You can enjoy cross-country skiing in the mountains or visit the local alpine ski area.
Utvik is a great base for exploring Nordfjord, with attractions such as Briksdalen, Lodalen, Strynefjellet and Geiranger within reach. You can also visit Selje and Vestkapp.
In Jølster, Sandane and Hornindal, you will find a variety of museums. Rafting is also available on the Jølstra River.
At Fjordhestgarden at Breim, both children and adults can enjoy short or longer horseback riding trips on Norwegian Fjord horses.
The cabins
Each cabin has two bedrooms with double beds and a loft with three mattresses. The cabins also have a bathroom with shower and toilet, as well as a washing machine.
The kitchen is equipped with a cooker, dishwasher, fridge with freezer and coffee maker. The living room has a wood-burning stove and TV, with direct access to a terrace overlooking the fjord. The terrace has garden furniture and a barbecue.
